I also just recently found a French blog post from 2009 that briefly mentioned the game as being "derived from Racer " I did try to make contact with the person who ran the blog, however, the blog hasn't been updated since 2012 and I now believe this was a false lead, using the wayback machine I found that Cypron Studios' website in 2009 had the game there along with "1 vs 100" another game the blogger mentioned.

They did respond and revealed that Mercury Games went bankrupt the same year Crazy Frog Faces was supposed to release and they still owe Cypronia and other developers money. The back of the box art case in the US version misspells popular as "popluar".Me and a few friends of mine are looking for a lost Crazy Frog game called "Crazy Frog Collectables Faces" also know as "Crazy Frog Faces." The game was published by a now-defunct company called Mercury Games, publishers of several Crazy Frog titles, such as Crazy Frog Racer, Crazy Frog Racer 2, and a similarly titled game called "Crazy Frog Collectables Art School." There's almost no info on the game available online, or at least no useful info outside of Cypron Studios (now known as "Cypronia") website which describes the game as a "Funny puzzle game for Nintendo DS which supports Singlecard Multiplayer." Cypron Studios developed the game, I did manage to make contact with them, simply asking for more info on the game, I didn't think asking for screenshots or a ROM straight away would get me very far.Annoying music, which makes sense since Crazy Frog was initially titled "The Annoying Thing", but this is still not a good thing.

No online multiplayer, even on the PC version.One of them is a Dance Dance Revolution clone that is poorly-made and generic, and a second one titled "pinball" in-game but isn't actually pinball due to having completely different mechanics. There are mini-games which are bad too.There's a section of the track where you have to make five 180 degree turns in a row in the darkness, which when combined with the bad controls and broken mini-map is likely to cause you to hit a few walls along the way and cause you to slow down. There's a lot of tight corridors which can't be properly navigated with the bad controls.

The Ice Cup tracks are the worst in the game.

This makes it a convoluted task to try and find where you are in relation to the track. If you're on the track road the mini-map is likely to report you as being off the track.

The racer icons on the mini-map are misaligned and do not properly represent where the racers are in relation to the track as represented by the mini-map.

There is a character literally named "Drone" who is incredibly large which makes it impossible to drive and stay on the track.

There is falling damage in a racing game, which seems to slow you down if you take damage.

There is a glitch in one of the tracks where you can fall through the track terrain by bumping into the start of a fence.

There are coins littered around the tracks in the game but they have no apparent function.

The booster launches you to a too fast speed which makes it much easier to go off the course.

Items are virtually useless due to the items being difficult or impossible to aim, including a nuke bomb.

Poor and loose controls which make it difficult to stay on the track and complete the race.

All tracks in game are recycled from the previous game which is unacceptable for a sequel game.

Despite reusing models, the graphics are somehow worse than its prequel.

This game uses the same models from its prequel, proving the developers were lazy to make new ones.

Just like its prequel, it's an obvious rip-off of Mario Kart.
